National Cadet Corps

NATIONAL CADET CORPS (N.C.C.):

Since 1965 Vivekananda Mahavidyalaya plays a vital role on N.C.C. service for our boys & students.

After completing the three month OTA course in October, 2008, Lt. Assistant Prof. Animesh Debnath has taken the charge as ANO of the boy’s battalion. The two years course NCC training can be separated in to two parts. Firstly, internal training in the college campus. Secondly, external training with different Army personal. The Cadets generally undergo external N.C.C. training and attend different state level and all India camp without cost, time to time like-RDC, T. SC, Army attachment, Trakking etc.

During 2011-2013 the cadets got a land mark achievement. Cdt. Pintu Mallik has been awarded by M.K. Narayanan, the Governor of W.B. on 9th January, 2013 due to the second position in to the second position in National shutting Compt. in Delhi, 2012.

SUC-Debojyoti Mukherjee in 2010-11 and Joydeb Mondal as well as Goutam Sandhu Kha in 2011-2012 have successfully completed the most prestigious R.D. Camp.

Soumen Chakraborty and Tanmoy Roy Chowdhury has got the job in different Army wings.

HOW NCC HELDS:

  1. i. Improve physical fitness.

ii. Uplift the power about unity & discipline, &

iii. Learn about fitness.

  1. Enormous vacancies reserved in IMA, UPAC, OTA, SSC, NAVY, Indian Air Force, Para Military, Telecommunications, Industries, Specific state level job, for NCC ‘B’ & ‘c’ certificate holders.
  2. Provide Sahara Scholarship and Cadet Welfare fund.
